Question 1

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

Accepted Answer

If you're unsure, book a free consultation. It's a chance to explore what you're looking for and see whether coaching feels right for you, with no obligation to continue.

Question 2

Are sessions online or in person?

Accepted Answer

Most sessions take place online. I work with leaders in Vancouver and with clients across Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. If you are based in Vancouver and would prefer to meet in person, we can discuss the best option.

Question 3

Do I need to commit to ongoing coaching?

Accepted Answer

A Single Conversation is a standalone 60-minute session with no ongoing commitment. Focused Coaching runs over six weeks. For Ongoing Coaching, we’ll discuss a rhythm that works for you.

Question 4

What do you work on in sessions?

Accepted Answer

Difficult conversations, workplace conflict, setting and holding boundaries, self-doubt and decisions you keep second-guessing. We focus on what is happening for you at work and how you want to respond.

Question 5

Who do you usually coach?

Accepted Answer

Leaders and professionals navigating difficult conversations, boundaries and self-doubt at work, who want space to think clearly and build trust in their own judgement.

Question 6

How do we get started?

Accepted Answer

You can book A Single Conversation for a specific situation, or start with a free consultation to explore Focused Coaching or Ongoing Coaching.

Question 7

How is coaching different from therapy?

Accepted Answer

Coaching and therapy can complement each other. My background in mental health means I’m comfortable working with the emotional side of difficult situations. Coaching focuses on what’s happening now and what you want to do next. Therapy is more appropriate when you’re dealing with a mental health condition that needs therapeutic support.

Question 8

If my organisation is paying, what will it hear about our sessions?

Accepted Answer

My one-to-one coaching is confidential. If you’re considering employer-funded coaching, contact me before deciding so we can discuss confidentiality and what, if anything, would be shared with your organisation.
